Help our Kids in the Classroom

I hope you won't mind me writing you today...but I've been worried sick about our kids and I just don't know where else to turn.

You see, the school year is well underway now, and I'm finding that so many of our young people are struggling, overwhelmed--or worst of all, just don't care about their studies.

And like any parent, I feel responsible...and helpless. It breaks my heart to think of where our kids could end up if they don't invest themselves in education.

I know that if we could expand upon our after school activities...if we could offer our boys and girls more art classes that encourage discovery and foster imagination...then they would realize the joys of learning and warm up to their school work.

You see, for our kids--kids who were raised in families that oftentimes expected them to fail--art courses provide their first opportunity to experience success. Through drawing, dancing, and writing, our youngsters cultivate their creativity, find inspiration, build confidence and gain an extra advantage in the classroom.

I'm willing to do whatever it takes to help the boys and girls of Mercy Home change their school years--and ultimately their lives--for the better.

And I pray you can help.

So, please, won't you share a gift to strengthen our after school arts program-and help our kids find the motivation and confidence they need to succeed?

Your friendship has always had a miraculous impact on our children-and our entire Mercy Home family is forever grateful for any amount you're able to share.
