Thank You To All Our Volunteers!

Everyone knows the adage that it takes a village to raise a child. Here at Mercy Home, we’re lucky that our entire village consists of friends willing to lend their time and abilities to help our boys and girls grow: Over the past year, we’ve had 1,600 volunteers give 15,000 hours of time to our children.

“It’s all about unconditional love,” Fr. Scott said in a speech at our Volunteer Appreciation Party in May. “You want to do it because you want to make a difference in the world we live in—[a world] that desperately needs our help. That generosity of spirit, we deeply appreciate.”

To all our volunteers—thank you for the hours you’ve spent teaching, mentoring, and nurturing our children this year. The moments they spend with you transform their lives, and we at Mercy Home are forever grateful to have you as part of our family.
