2009 City of Chicago Address

On behalf of the entire Mercy Home family, I want to thank everyone who attended Mayor Daley's City of Chicago Address on July 15, the proceeds of which benefited Mercy Home.

Every year, the Mayor selects a charity to host this important event. As this year's host, I would like to extend my gratitude to the Mayor, to the more than 1,000 residents, community and city leaders who attended, and to the countless others who made this gathering possible.

Mercy Home has been a part if the fabric of Chicago for over 122 years, and we are proud to be part of a community that comes together with the common goal of strengthening our city and improving the lives of the most vulnerable among us. Through your support of Mercy Home, you help to achieve that goal. Thank you for your generosity and kindness to our children.

Sharon Dewar of Chicago was the lucky winner of the raffle conducted at the City of Chicago address. Sharon will receive a two-night weekend stay including continental breakfast at the Hilton Chicago, dinner for two at Kinzie Chophouse on Wells Street and dinner for two at O'Brien's Restaurant in Old Town.
