Mentor
Friends First is one of the most trusted mentoring programs in Chicago.
Here's a great way to work with kids, make new friends and help your community while having a fantastic experience! Mercy Home's Friends First mentoring program matches adults one-on-one with at-risk kids in your community. You will go on fun outings to parks, zoos, museums, etc. Join us for group events too! Mentors in our program are all ages and from all walks of life but are united by their concern for Chicago youth.
As a mentor you will receive training, ongoing support and encouragement through direct monthly contact with our staff so that you can build a meaningful mentoring friendship. We will take care to set up a compatible match between you and the child you will mentor, we'll notify you about fun, free things in Chicagoland, and provide opportunities to connect with other mentors in the program through group activities.
Get started today! To become a Friends First Mentor please email us at volunteer@mercyhome.org, call (312) 738-7552 for more information or apply online.
