Workshops for Social Work Professionals

Speaker Series for Social Worker Professionals

The annual Speaker Series at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls joins youth care service providers on their path to transforming young lives of suffering into lives of hope and promise. Through professional development, these series of workshops are designed to enthuse and further prepare social service providers with the research-based learning and field-work experience of prominent leaders in the field. Speaker Series enhances the quality of care that youth receive, creates a sense of cohesion among youth care service providers and believes in:

  • Inspiring new ideas and applying innovation to the complex urban challenges we encounter.
  • Sparking creativity to discover solutions to currently relevant issues.
  • Nourishing and rejuvenating social workers.
  • Offering continuing education units at no cost.
