Do you have plans for summer?
I hope you have a minute to read this...because I'm really in a bind.
I'm worried about our annual camp fund. With the rising costs of caring for kids, I'm just not sure how I'm going to be able to pay for our children to go to camp this year.
You see, year after year, this camping trip has proven to bring healing to our children. Maybe you can remember back to your own childhood, and the sense of wonder, peace and exhilaration you found on your own camping trips. I know I don't have to tell you that camp isn't a luxury-it's absolutely essential for my kids. This year we'll be travelling to a camp closer to home in order to save funds.
I'm praying you can help.
Could you find it in your heart to share a gift of $37, enough to pay for a day at camp for one of my kids, or $259 for a full week? Even $18 to cover a half day would be a much needed blessing.
This trip means the world to my boys and girls; I hope you know I wouldn't write to you like this if camp weren't such a critical experience for my kids. But your gift today could truly bring happiness and hope to my hurting boys and girls.
