The Parish of the Airwaves

In 1992 at the request of Joseph Cardinal Bernardin, Mercy Home launched its televised Sunday Mass that now allows 60,000 faithful viewers to share in the Eucharist every Sunday morning.

Sunday Mass at Mercy Home, which is filmed on location in the Our Lady of Mercy Chapel at Mercy Home for Boys & Girls in and broadcast on WGN in Chicago, is a source of spiritual nourishment for those who are unable to leave their homes because of age or ailment to attend Mass.

Please join our “Parish of the Airwaves” on Sunday mornings. If you know someone who is homebound and could benefit from learning about this great ministry, please invite them to join us every Sunday morning on WGN, Channel 9 at 9:30 a.m CST Chicago. We are always delighted to celebrate the Eucharist with new friends!

Thank you again for your support of Sunday Mass at Mercy Home…we simply could not provide this spiritual aid for our parishioners without your help and unwavering generosity. Please know that your gracious support is a tremendous source of comfort to our homebound, ailing, and elderly parishioners.
