This October, you can be a hero to children in need by running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon for Mercy Home with “The Mayor of Running,” Bart Yasso. After a career that has taken him to every corner of the globe as the sport’s most recognizable ambassador, Bart Yasso is getting ready to retire from his work with Runner’s World magazine. This October, his farewell tour will take him through Chicago, where he will run the sold-out Bank of America Chicago Marathon on behalf of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.
Yasso is looking for heroes to join him on his trek through the Second City and help provide a safe, healing home for children who have been traumatized by abuse, neglect, violence, or homelessness, which Mercy Home has been doing since 1887.
Like the Mercy Home Heroes, Yasso believes no distance is too far to save a child.
Join Bart and run with the “Yasso’s Heroes” in Chicago on October 8th and make a difference in the lives of children with every step you take.
