Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord Homily Transcript
Have you ever thought in your mind or in your heart or even said out loud, My God, my God, why? Why have you forsaken me? If you’ve ever thought that or felt that way, we stand in good company with Jesus on the cross as we hear the story today in the gospel. But what I want us to remember most importantly is that despite that uncertainty, Jesus trusted, Jesus trusted that God would be with him.
We’re called to that same deep trust today that God will always be with us in our times of uncertainty and doubt and fear, even in our death God is with us, because we who live with faith and hope and love and Christ one day we’ll share what God has given to Jesus: new and eternal life.
