Every year I try to send my children to summer camp-because it is much more than time away. Camp is a time for our kids to realize that they're part of a larger world beyond the noise and violence of the city-and a time for them to see the majesty of God's creation.

There were girls who were alone, scared and out on the street... girls who had been abused in unthinkable ways... who had nowhere else to go . . .
