Andrea Rosenberg leads the Mercy Home’s Resilient Schools. Resilient Schools aims to lead efforts to promote relational, resilience-focused, and trauma-responsive practices in Chicagoland elementary and high schools. Resilient Schools develops teachers, staff, and leaders who are skilled at creating safe and effective learning environments for all students regardless of trauma experience. Andrea has worked with students and teachers for 8 years inside and outside of the classroom. She served as an AmeriCorps volunteer teacher through Inner-City Teaching Corps in Chicago. As a third-grade teacher, Andrea received her Masters in the Science of Education from Northwestern University. She continued her work with students and teachers at Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, working with at-risk adolescents. Andrea is passionate about bringing trauma-responsive practices to educators to give all students the opportunity to succeed.
