Associate Board for Young Professionals in Chicago

About Mercy Home’s Associate Board

The Associate Board promotes the mission of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls by engaging young professionals through social, volunteer, and fundraising activities. Their work helps our young people build key skills, prepare for successful futures, and strengthen bonds with their families.

Job Skills Seminar

Our Associate Board participates in our annual Job Skills Seminar, where young people are able to meet with area professionals to practice the skills needed to get and keep a job, and to thrive in the workplace.

Post-Secondary Options (PSO) Night

This annual event, hosted by the Associate Board, offers our young people a great opportunity to learn and gain valuable insights into different occupations, the education and training required, salary, and responsibilities.

Village Nights

Associate Board members recently joined our village nights—special evenings of connection, celebration, and community for our young people and their families.

Fundraising Events

The Associate Board hosts two main fundraising events each year. The board’s signature event, Have Mercy!, brings together leading young professionals for a fun night of dancing and entertainment. Their March for Kids Kickoff starts our annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations with an afternoon of drinks and small bites. Both raise critical funds for Mercy Home.

Have Mercy!

Join the Associate Board of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls at their 18th annual fundraising gala, Have Mercy! in 2026. Join Chicago’s leading young professionals for a night of dancing and entertainment.

March for Kids Kickoff

It’s never too early to start celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! March on over to Mary Jo McGuire’s and join the Associate Board of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls to kickoff the season.
