Have Mercy! Gala Celebrates Seventeenth Year

This year’s 17th annual Have Mercy! spring gala was another tremendous success, thanks to our Associate Board members and friends who attended.

The Associate Board’s signature fundraiser was held at Theater on the Lake in May, and included music, dancing, cocktails sponsored by White Claw, games, digital caricatures, magic by America’s Got Talent hypnotist Chris Jones, and delicious hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and late-night bites in a beautiful lakefront setting.

Our guests gave generously to support our Home through a pledge and silent auction, as well as chances to win a luxury Mexican beach resort vacation. Music by DJ Spoiled Milk had our guests singing along and hitting the dance floor. We were also happy to welcome ABC-7 Chicago meteorologist Greg Dutra as the emcee of the event.

A special highlight of the evening is the presentation of the Spirit of Mercy Award, which was given this year to Associate Board chair Maura Keller. This honor is bestowed upon a member who has been on the board for more than one year and has shown active participation and dedication to Mercy Home through volunteering and fundraising. Congratulations to Maura!

Mercy Home’s Associate Board promotes the mission of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls by engaging young professionals through social, volunteer, and fundraising activities. In addition to Have Mercy!, they host the March for Kids Kickoff at Butch McGuire’s, and an annual social night each fall.

Thank you again to everyone who made this year’s Have Mercy! such a wonderful evening!
