Fr. Scott Visits Board Member’s Factory, Contributes to Community Green Space.

Board of Regents member Bob Carmody, founder and owner of Diana’s Bananas, recently invited Fr. Scott and Joe Wronka to his near West Side factory for lunch.
In a show of gratitude for all that Bob does for our home, Fr. Scott brought some sunflowers to plant at a nearby community green space. Carmody had purchased a formerly vacant lot at W. Harrison and California and turned it into a safe and peaceful oasis for East Garfield Park neighbors.

During the visit, Fr. Scott and Wronka had the opportunity to catch up with former Mercy Home youth Adrian, who has been employed at Diana’s Bananas for 12 years. Throughout that time, he has received numerous promotions for his exceptional commitment to his work.
Adrian made the most of the job skills training and experience during his time at the Home and has become a valued and dependable member of the Diana’s Banana’s team.
