Mercy Home was recently the recipient of a grant from an organization called Links, Incorporated, to address mental health, health and wellness through its Medical, Dental, Psychological, and Wellness program. This grant will help cover the cost of our kids’ medical, dentist, and psychiatrist visits, as well as the therapeutic care that our on-site therapists provide.
Board of Regents member Eddie Gamble and his wife attended the 59th annual Debutante Cotillion, “Shining Stars,” where the check was presented.
The Links is an international not-for-profit corporation, and one of the nation’s oldest volunteer service organizations. Consisting of nearly 15,000 women of color, the mission of the Links is to uphold a commitment to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African-Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
The Links first became connected with Mercy Home in April 2018, when they became a supporter of our Medical, Dental, Psychological, and Wellness program. In recent months, the Chicago Links visited the Walsh Campus to get a better idea of the programs they were supporting.
We are so thankful to the Links for their support and generosity to our mission!
