Volunteer opportunities in Chicago at Mercy Home for Boys & Girls:
Mentor Mercy Home’s Friends First mentoring program matches adults one-on-one with children from the Chicago area who could benefit from having a positive friendship with an adult role model. Spend a few hours a month engaged in fun, meaningful activities with a young person who can use a friend.
Tutor Participate in community service by spending an hour a week during the school year providing extra support and encouragement to young people living at Mercy Home. Help keep kids focused on homework and the importance of education. To request information on becoming a volunteer mentor or tutor, click here.
MercyWorks MercyWorks is a faith-based volunteer program that offers recent college graduates a unique avenue to community service and professional development. While in the program, volunteers focus on growing spiritually, personally, and communally. Volunteers make a one year commitment to live in community with one another, while serving full-time with the children at Mercy Home.
