Mercy Home’s Friends First Mentoring Program held their annual Thanksgiving dinner and celebrated the season of giving together.
A special thank you this week to our friends from St. Giles Parish from Oak Park and Immaculate Conception, St Joseph’s Parish, Chicago and the Perales Family in the congregation.
Our workplace-based mentoring program recently kicked off its second year, matching young women from St. Malachy with mentors from AT&T.
Pink was the color of the evening at a breast cancer awareness event held recently at the Walsh Campus. It was a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness and honor those who had suffered from breast cancer.
Ruben, a Mercy Home resident, overcame many obstacles to join the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon as a Mercy Home Hero. Race-day, however, didn’t turn out the way he planned. But fellow Hero Jen Guzman, inspired by Ruben’s journey, stepped up to make things right and gave him an unforgettable surprise.
