Pink was the color of the evening at a breast cancer awareness event held recently at the Walsh Campus. It was a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness and honor those who had suffered from breast cancer.
Ruben, a Mercy Home resident, overcame many obstacles to join the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon as a Mercy Home Hero. Race-day, however, didn’t turn out the way he planned. But fellow Hero Jen Guzman, inspired by Ruben’s journey, stepped up to make things right and gave him an unforgettable surprise.
