Mercy Home’s Associate Board gathered on a recent Sunday afternoon to enjoy delicious food, community, and a Chicago Bears game while raising funds for young people at Mercy Home.
While snacking on the perfect game day food of bacon, sausage, dip, quesadillas, soft pretzels, and fries, attendees tuned in to cheer on their hometown team at a West Loop Chicago bar.

The board is comprised of young professionals who find fun ways to generate support for our young people throughout the year.
“It was great to get the board together in a social environment and continuing to build camaraderie while also supporting the youth of Mercy Home,” Chris Doherty, the associate director of special events, said.
Attendees also had the opportunity to buy raffle tickets for various fabulous prizes, including tickets to the late-night portion of the upcoming Lux Gala, tickets to the March for Kids Kickoff in March, gift cards to Top Golf and Barstool River North, and more.

It was a great time for everyone, and our board had the opportunity to introduce their friends to Mercy Home’s mission in a fun environment. We would like to give a special thank you to Kathleen McGovern and Krista Paplaczyk for their leadership of the Social Committee in planning the event.
Our Associate Board promotes the mission of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls by engaging young professionals through social, volunteer, and fundraising activities. In addition to a social night each year like this one, they also host the Have Mercy! spring gala and the March for Kids Kickoff at Butch McGuire’s.
