March for Kids Off to a Strong Start

March for Kids Off to a Strong Start

Mercy Home’s March for Kids officially began with our annual kickoff party hosted by our Associate Board at Butch McGuire’s on March 4.

It was a perfect Saturday afternoon for attendees to enjoy food, drinks, and socializing with friends new and old. The event was a tremendous success, with 138 tickets sold.

The event ended with a fun raffle, where the lucky winners took home gift cards, bottles of wine and spirits, Chicago White Sox tickets, and more. But all were winners that night for showing up to support Mercy Home’s March for Kids.

We are thankful to Associate Board member and social committee chair Maura Carr, who served as the emcee of the event, for her help in making this event such a tremendous success! Thank you to our friends at Butch McGuire’s for being such a generous supporter of our Home year after year. And thank you to everyone who attended the kickoff event—you are truly making this a March for Kids!

Mercy Home’s Associate Board promotes the mission of Mercy Home for Boys & Girls by engaging young professionals through social, volunteer, and fundraising activities. In addition to the March for Kids Kickoff, they host an annual social night each fall called Cheers for Mercy and their signature fundraiser, Have Mercy!, tickets for which go on sale March 15. The event features live music, hors-d’oeuvres, drinks and dancing, an exciting auction, and raffle items – all in the beautiful beachfront setting on the shore of Lake Michigan.
