MercyWorks Americorps Member Named as Volunteer of the Week

We are excited to announce that our coworker Khristina Richardson has been selected as the Volunteer of the Week by Serve Illinois. Khristina, who is currently serving as a MercyWorks AmeriCorps Youth Care Worker with 14-17 year old girls here at Mercy Home, was selected because of her dedication to our kids.

Khristina’s job requires an aptitude for a variety of skills. She excels as a communicator with our kids, families, and coworkers. Because of her ability to interact with at-risk youth and their families with both sensitivity and responsiveness, she is an excellent asset to work with the diverse, ever-changing population at Mercy Home.

With her compassion for others, positive “can do” attitude, and passionate devotion to her position, we are fortunate to have Khristina serving with us at Mercy Home! She has truly demonstrated her commitment to serving Mercy Home kids and families as an advocate and role model.

With that in mind, it’s no surprise that, in addition to being chosen as the Volunteer of the Week, Khristina was also recently voted by her coworkers as the Staff Member of the Week.

Congratulations to Khristina for proving every day that she is committed to helping our kids reach their goals and make their dreams a reality.
